Value:
For 499 you can’t go wrong. Its a good investment if you work with softsynths, softsamplers and midi in general. The AutoMap is really great and I make better patches when I’m focusing on the sound rather than staring in to the computer screen.
Ease of Use:
Had some troubles in the beginning, but after reading the manual and downloading the automap universal driver it was all good! So just read manual right after getting it and don’t use unnecessary time figuring it out yourself, use that time to make music! 
Support:
Haven’t really needed to contact Novation for any support. But their website is clear and easy to navigate and I’m sure their willing to help you out!

I wont be looking for another midi controller. It feels great, it does exactly what its supposed to do and it looks pretty good

Too many to list, you get many controls that don’t clutter the panel and the synth is layed out in a very thoughtful and logical way from osc to effects. Inside this beauty lies an extremely powerful synth with all the paremeters you could wish for.
Quality:
Build quality is great, feels solid and tight.
Value:
Great for the price, would pay double the price…its that good.
Desirability:
Looks very sleek in the compact shell with the neat blue lcd. The Xio looks better than the X station imo, which looks ugly.
Sound:
Virtual Analogue Liquid Sound – Think of the Virus but 10 times cheaper. Its a super synth in small package, and it sounds much much bigger than another synth in the same class. I feel that the Xiosynth has to be the best sounding Novation and agree with the magazine reviews, its definately more richer in the bottem end. The key action is nice and feels solid, and i like the expression pad to create different sounds from single strokes.
Ease of Use:
Once i went through the video tutorial and read the x station manual it became pretty clear. You need to know basic synthesis and terms to use the advance features for sound creation. The X Gator is really cool as well as the arps.
Support:
Never used them.
Overall:
I love this synth, its a keeper for life and replace it in heartbeat if stolen or broken.

It looks nice, but it has that cheap chineese build quality to it. Three days after owning the remote sl the spring poped in the x/y controller. The shuttle controls also get stuck under the facia and the sliders have an inconsistent feel, some are smooth others gritty. The knobs feel as if they could break when jamming in the studio or live. The over all feel is one of flimsy construction. I have had this controler for about a year. It went back to novation to get the spring fixed in the x/y controller. Now it looks like its going back again for the spring releas slider on the bottom for the x/y controler. It is a great concept it just has that novation cheapie feel, just like their supernova line of synths. Great idea cheap construction and poor support.

After owning it i think i would have waited for the cme controller to come out where i live.

LOADED The novation remoteSL attracted me because of its expansive feature set.

It’s well thought out but be warned that if your looking to express yourself with any sort of rhythm, please make sure you use the product before you buy it. for reason users tweaking synth parameters outside of real time, this might be fine. For us expert users who actually see the data coming from the SL will quickly notice that the all control signals are all running through various smoothing algorithms. (slewing controls upwards of 230 ms in some cases). this includes knobs, aftertouch, touchpad, joystick and faders This makes the box harder to play and may alter the functionality of some programs. I have extensively proven this.
