This product looks great! Unfortunately, mine at least, doesn’t work great! The shim that holds the stand at the set height keeps slipping. Once right in the middle of a song! It slid all the way down! When I tried to pull up on the shaft, which is supposed to release the shim for resetting, it slid freely but wouldn’t lock! Then, when I tried to slide the sleeve to expose the shim so I could check it, the sleeve wouldn’t budge! It turns freely but it won’t slide up off the shim. This has happened to me four times now! In case you are wondering, the sleeve is a loose sliding piece. It was like that out of the box. I had to use a hammer to move the the sleeve to expose the shim. Not a durable or reliable design. At least not for a lead singer who moves the mic stand around alot. I bought this item on April 16th and it is now May 25th. It didn’t last long. Precisely three practices and one gig. Save your money!

Feature:
it sets up quickly and easily… unfortunately the pieces do not fit in the stand as with other Ultimate stands. I’d hate to loose a cross piece or rung.

Quality:
I’d be nervous about putting a workstation on it… but it’s fine for controllers or less important gear. it DOES have a tip factor if it’s bumped at an angle.

Value:
for the money its great. Can’t beat $100 for a a reliable quick setup stand. My partner uses an A frame… I’m always set up WAY before him.

Desirability:
I like the look of Ultimate stands on stage. very low profile, and sci-fi.

Sound:
gave it a five because it makes no sound.

Ease of Use:
You would have to be stupid like dirt to need a manual.

Support:
haven’t dealt with them

Overall:
Nice budget stand with a quick setup and tear down time. In electronic music a small stage footprint can make the difference between who gets booked and who doesn’t.

Ultimate Support GS1000 Genesis Guitar StandThe GS1000 is made with Ultimate support’s Uni-Grabber System for holding your guitar. Balancing your guitar from just under the headstock, this stand helps keep your guitar’s neck straightened by using the guitars own weight to do so. Without the body rests you would normally see on a guitar stand that only works with rounder bodied models, this stand will be perfect for your guitar even if its a V shape, Explorer or other eccentrically shaped Body.

Feature:
The rubberized knobs are great.

Quality:
For the price, the quality is excellent. It is lightweight but fairly sturdy. Even though I sometimes have to add extra weight to the base, it is definitely light enough to travel with.

Value:
Good quality for the price.

Ease of Use:
The single-knob adjustment on the boom takes a little getting used to. However, it grips the boom instead of using a knob with screw threads that can cause damage to the metal tubing.

Ultimate TS80 TripodAluminum tubing and high tech finishes make for a durable, dependable, and lightweight tripod.

Quality:
I’ve had the screws strip out and the nuts fall off and the covers get lost… and the company replaced them! That can’t be said for the On-Stage stuff I have that will ahve the same probs.

Value:
You get what you pay for and more in the long run.

Overall:
Overall 9 because I know something that breaks or is lost can be replaced by the company that stands behind the stand.
