Just purchased this unit and am very impressed. Have several rack mount fx units that I’ve purchased over the years and none of them measure up to this for sound quality. All I really wanted in an effects unit is a good sounding slapback delay for vocals. I have a rack mounted yamaha mixer with built in fx processor and that’s the only sore spot the yamaha has — the fx. They sound dull and dumpy. The t c electronics unit fixed that problem. And has actual rotating knobs to change the parameters. GREAT.

I owned this unit for about a year and from day one, I had nothing but problems. The drivers are extremely buggy and caused all kinds of errors (including many blue screens) and signs of instability. Support is no help at all. As for the hardware itself, the converters are pretty nice. The unit looks great and the preamps are adequate. With TC’s support and drivers in the state they are you should definitely wait for them to improve or go with another company.

I think it lacks in distortion, since TC has a great vintage distortion, but the effects on it, it’s way beyond my imagination, it only takes the sound of your amp and puts the effect(s) on, it doesn’t ruin the sound.

I liked better my boss gt-3, but once you learn, you will find it very easy to use. It has more parameters, so it’s hard to be more simple. And it allow you to “steal” the set of any effect of other banks.
