Feature:
Some lesser models than the Xenyx2442FX have different features such as surround sound enhancement and voice removal as well as a Graphic EQ, I like the parametric EQ on the individual channels but I prefer a graphic EQ overall. I guess in order to keep the cost down they had to diversify the different models.
Quality:
Sliders and knobs and switches all seem to be of good quality, I wont be using this much outdoors, when it does travel it will be in a rack in a case.
Value:
Very good bang for the buck.
Desirability:
The bright blue power LED hurts my eyes, I will have to tape it off or cover it with transparent red tape.
Sound:
With good microphones and good cables the Pre’s on this mixer are very quiet. I only use this for recording, so I like to keep cables only as long as they need to be so I make my own.
Ease of Use:
I am used to a larger mixing console so there is some getting used to knobs and switches being so close together. The boards layout is very good.
Support:
The best support is support that is never needed.
Overall:
I will keep it for as long as it still works and still meets my needs.

Feature:
A pair of tool for racking, two rca cables, one AC cable, and an USB conveter. This mixer is enough for just home recording usage. Just don’t use the usb conveter if you have better sound card, just get from the output directly to the pc’s input and you can earn 96KHZ instead 44KHZ.
Quality:
The finishing is good enough, but some of the part seems to be easy to be broken. They give us 2 pair of stereo suck rca cables with poor quality.
Value:
CHEAP!!!! I thought it has $179 value
Desirability:
Just for a device to connect to pc, i have peavey unity series for mixing.
Sound:
Good quality preamp make it sound good, it’s cheap anyway. I couldn’t find any other product with 8 input and 4 aux in i’ve got for only $120!! Actualy the usb conveter really sound very bad, too many hiss, distortion, and click. Just forget the conveter and plug it direct to your pc and rock it.
Ease of Use:
Very easy to use, good interface, minutes to learn then you are expert then.
Support:
i dunno, i haven’t get any problem so why i bothered them.
Overall:
I love it size, i can put it on my shelf. Cheap and beautiful. For the one whom not rich.

Sure it’s cute, but the Mackie 1202VLZ3 is a serious professional compact mixer, with features that belie its small footprint. The ideal compact mixer for home and project studios, the 1202VLZ3 is equally at home on the road, on the stage, or in the recording studio. At Mackie, they can never leave “well enough” alone. After all, the VLZ Pros are the best-selling mixers of all time, so we knew it would be tough to improve on what many devoted owners already consider perfection… and yet they were driven to do it anyway.
