Nice little bag to keep them in, nice stereo to mono switch even though i don’t use it and i like that the jacks are gold instead of silver, that has always bothered me when they are silver for some reason.

Boom Baby…………..Great bass great highs, but mids are a little lacking. Sometimes the snare drum, cymbals (remember sometimes) and the guitar in a few places are a little thudy sounding but still sounds incredible. Volume level is awesome. Once you wear these in the have a great soundstage and there is nothing bad to say about them.
Overall:
yeah……very nice looking, extremely good sounding…….but a little tight to wear for 5 hours.

It only has a few basic features but are executed extremely well.

Being a musician first & a DJ second I have to say the unit build seems “toyish”. Actually, one of my units just stop working one day in Dec. and it’s been at an authorized service center for about a month & 1/2(so far)! So it’s been in the shop for a little over half the time I’ve owned it(an issue with main circuitboard that’s on national backorder). DISCLAIMER: It wasn’t bought from Zzounds (I know better for next time).
Value:
The reason you would buy this instead of it’s competitors is the 0.02% increments (within a +/- 6% range) & the mp3 compatibility. Nothing like bringing 2-3 cd’s(50 songs each) loaded with mp3′s to a gig. Mixing in 0.02 increments makes your mixes sound like butter! In my opinion, the price at $400 is pretty steep for what you get. I value it at about $325-$350.
Desirability:
This is unit is for a pro or semi pro home (and club in a pinch) use. Make sure you buy a coffin for it. Use these for practice and once you go into a club that has the big brother, you’ll rock it!
Sound:
Sound quality is excellent.

Overall:
A great unit but only makes you wish you could afford the CDJ1000′s or CDJ800′s if not only for their features but their solid build.

The stereo/mono switch is a must for my use. I would like these phones better if they had a detachable cord and larger ear cups. For the price, Pioneer could include a storage/carry bag. I really like the rotating and folding ear pieces.

I only had these for about six months. I use them every day and have experienced no problems. All Pioneer products that I have owned were High Quality; one of the reasons I selected these headphones. I like the heavy duty cord

Considering the Quality, I think the price is about right.
Sound:
The sound quality is as good as any headphones I have ever heard. The Highs are clean and there is good low response. These headphones are louder than all my other headphones at the same volume setting.
Support:
I can’t honestly rate how good support is having never had to use it.
Overall:
I will use these headphones until either I or they give out. If they are stolem or lost, I will probably replace them with identical ones. If they break, I will likely try something else.

Just received these today and haven’t been able to stop messin around with them. They’re alot of fun to use! The Effects, Looping, and Loop Divide…all make the CDJ-400 worth it! The light-up Platter is cool too..really sensitive. Can’t wait to use these at a gig!
