Feature:
I love how the pads light up and the XY pad is the ish! Could use at least 1 more assignable knob, but what would really hit the spot would be a fader.

Quality:
Compared to the MPD16 and Trigger Finger, this is awsome. Stays in place and won’t budge.

Value:
Drums weren’t meant to be played on a keyboard. Try one of these and find out what you’ve been missing.

Desirability:
You wouldn’t think that the pads lighting up would help you play, but it does. You see when you hit one that you didn’t intend on hitting as well as reassuring those you did.

Sound:
This thing doesn’t make sounds, but if you are using a drum program like BFD (which is what I use) or any soft synth you’ll be takin’ to a new level with the sounds you produce.

Ease of Use:
I would say it is a 10 on ease of use but you would have some serious issues plugging this thing in and not having access to the documentation or the editor software.

Support:
Haven’t used it, but you can count on Korg.

Overall:
I’m very excited. I’ve been waiting for a pad controller for awhile and wasn’t impress with the reviews on the MPD16 or the Trigger Finger.

Feature:
It’s got all you really need to control drum beats within your DAW, or to punch in new beats on the fly. The XY controller was something that was added into it for added features, and it’s worth the price JUST for the drum controls.

Quality:
I had mine for a month or two and I had a problem with the USB port… had to get it fixed and resautered. It only dropped on the floor once, and I think that since this unit is meant to be portable, they should have made it a little bit more durable.

Value:
You won’t regret paying the low price for this, this is MORE than you bargain for by far. Perfect for the on-the-go drum programmer =)

Ease of Use:
Very simple, this is as close to plug and play as any midi controller can get. I used it in conjunction with Ableton Live, so it was made very easy for me. I’m not sure how easy it is to set up in other DAWs but it shouldn’t be too difficult.

Support:
Korg has always given me great support.

Overall:
Get one =)

Feature:
Template Presets in it are good for guru and battery.

Quality:
sturdy, good so far.

Value:
really good. Considering i bought a crappy radium keyboard controler for the same price a few years ago. the radium is so fragile feelign sometimes im afraid to play it. This MPD feels like it can take a beating.

Desirability:
Looks nice. Practical. Fun. Cool dials that you can turn indefinatly (or until your wrist breaks)

Sound:
Well it doesnt make sound, its jsut a midi controller. I really have to beat it hard to get the right strength to my hits. Id like to just lightly tap but i guess you cant do that on this. Other than that it Responds well in Ableton live though. Used it with Guru, Battery and a bunch of other Vsti. Anything ive tried it with for that matter. Have yet to use it in Reason.

Ease of Use:
I find i have to drum harder on this than id like to. I set it up to be as sensitive as possible to my hits but it still wasnt enough so i curved my velocitys in Live to be harder hitting. i guess i jsut drum relaxed… or maybe my fingers are hollow. On a pc, i found it very easy to install if you know the basics about computers and are farmiliar with using a midi controller with your sequencer

Support:
N/A yet

Overall:
Good. I look forward to making some swingin beats with the quantitization off.

Feature:
Layout is easy to use and parts do not feel cheap.

Quality:
For $60 bucks it is unbeatable.

Value:
UNBEATABLE!!!

Desirability:
Laptop users MUST HAVE THIS!!! Mobile creativity at its finest.

Sound:
This is the best $60 a Laptop DJ or Producer can spend. This thing rocks, feels solid and despite small size is easy to use. The multiple (4) scenes make this thing remarkably extensible. I have had other midi controllers that cost much more and were less usable. Works great with Ableton Live and Traktor Pro.

Ease of Use:
Could not be simpler.

Support:
Not much to support but Korg has a nice editor available for download.

Overall:
I plan to buy another to add to my performance set up.
