everything i could expect from a mic (rolloff, patterns and pad)
Quality:
looks really solid, sounds very solid and the body shines a lot
Value:
For the money, it beats my old Rode NTK all the way. I sold my rodes and i only use this one now.
Desirability:
So desirable!!
Sound:
sounds like the luna but with a touch of tube… i’m sold all the way
Ease of Use:
works straigt out of the box
Support:
I HAD PROBLEMS WITH BX8a’s and I have exchanged them 3 times with m-audio directly. Very very nice support there.
Overall:
By far the best mic I’ve own to date. I previously had M-Audio Luna, Rode NT1000, Rode NTK, AT4040, AT4033/CL. The 4033 was my best solid state one

Feature:
the knobs and buttons are efficient, but without labels to me they are just excess knobs and buttons.
Quality:
Quality overall is it is a good unit. It turns on when I need it to and it doesn’t die when we are doing something important. I have never had any issues till I updated my Mac software. Hey now that I think about it. I might need to update the driver software…:)
Value:
Value is overall great deal for the price. looks and feels and sounds above average.
Desirability:
I own it…but I really wish I had a HD system
Sound:
Sound comes out pretty good. I don’t have an expensive mic or expensive mic pre-amps. But what I do have it sounds great once the mix down is complete and we send it off to get mastered.
Ease of Use:
It is very easy to use. After an update on the driver it synched up and was ready to go. Unfortunately I am now having problems with plug ins. And we don’t have that many. I’ll be calling M-Audio VERY soon.
Support:
When I called the first time they were great!!
Overall:
Overall it does the job…I just need to make some adjustments to my system to get some bugs worked out.

Feature:
There is no E.Q. or wall placement adjustment. Only volume knob. Though it serves me right, if one needs to place them in a weird position/room acoustic, it will be harder to get the sound one’s looking for.
Quality:
Everything is very robust, transpires quality and confidence. Seeing that Kevlar is a component found on bulletproof vests, I was expecting a woofer more robust on the touch. Still… they are meant to be listened and not touched.
Value:
Worth every penny. I don’t think there is any competition in its class. Upgraded from an Alesis 620 and eventhough the price difference isn’t that much… the results are obvious: the BX8a Deluxe easily trumps it.
Sound:
Sound quality is rather good (exceptionally good when we consider the price tag)
Ease of Use:
Plug & Play
Support:
I’m yet to use it.

Feature:
The breakout box was great! They said you could record up to 4 channels at the same time, but actually that is 2 stereo channels. You get ProTools Demo with it and Live Lite, but ProTools won’t work (probably like the LE version because I have Windows XP).
Quality:
It looks steady and strong and it feels like that.
Value:
This is the first soundcard I’ve seen for such a low price and such good features!
Desirability:
It’s great! It’s the best for the price!
Sound:
The sound is really great! No noise as far as I can hear and it’s clean and excellent quality
Overall:
It’s very good! Except that you only get 4 (2 stereo) inputs, but for the price it’s excellent!
