Feature:
The fact this thing can go from just about any flavor of connector to another is a real plus.

Quality:
Excellent piece with rugged construction.

Value:
At 20 bucks a channel its a bargain

Sound:
No color no artifacts just good clean signal.

Ease of Use:
Simple manual. Simple to use.

Support:
Haven’t needed service

Overall:
Everyone should have on of these in their rack or at least loose in their bag of tricks. It makes a great DI if you dont need a pad, really inexpensive 8 channel mic splitter if you dont mind using a TRS to XLR adapter. The thing is dead quiet and doesn’t add any coloration. ART outdid themselves with this piece. In my own rig I have one in my drive rack to isolate it from the processing rack. I have another to use to patch computers, ipods, and whatever last minute emergency sources someone brings me. I also have another loose that is brought out for the guest artist’s CD, Ipod, MP3, computer to be able to patch in from on stage. If you have hum or buzz in your rig you owe it to yourself to try one of these things out, and at less than 20 bucks a channel its a great investment.

Feature:
Two channels

Quality:
Seems OK

Sound:
Sucks tone from the guitar, reduces signal strength & adds it’s own noise. I use EMG active pickups, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, but I got the unit to remove buzz & hum from ground loops, not to add it’s own.

Ease of Use:
Plug it in – doesn’t get any easier

Overall:
It get a 3 because it actually makes signals sound worse not better.

For me it was a complete wast of money with no support form Ebtech.

Sound:
I have a horrendous hum or buzz in my Strat/Fender Blues Jr. system at home. It disapppears (except for the normal single coil noise) elsewhere. I bought the HumX in the hope that it would solve the problem. It did absolutely nothing. I recognize that I appear tohave a problem with the home wiring. I hired an lelectrictrician to test all the outlets and drive a new 10′ copper gound- stil have the buzz that only goes away when I ground all the strings with my hand. The Ebtech website is not particularly helpful. I sent a polite e-mail to Ebtech askng for some guidance- gfot no answer.

Ease of Use:
Pretty simple. Plug in to outlet; plug amp into the HumX. The problem is that it did nothing to correct the problem.
