no features besides sounding great, so it must be 10 out of 10
Quality:
made like a tank, and its heavy, rock solid…
Value:
$150au is what i paid and it was $50 cheaper than the SM58 and the rode comes with a ten year warranty.
Desirability:
yes please
Sound:
comparing this to its nemesis the shure SM58, i hate to say it after believing in shure for so long but the rode M1 is better in so many different ways. the sound is clearer, doesnt break up as early, picks up less background noise and it costs less than the shure which makes it sound even better.
Ease of Use:
pretty dam easy if you know what your doing….
Support:
its comes with a ten year warranty and if a company is that confident it’ll last that long, then so am i, otherwise it’d be 12month like the shure
Overall:
its simple, its $50 cheaper than the SM58, it comes with a longer warranty and after using it at one rehearsal after using a SM58′s for so long it sounds better. i didnt believe it at first but all i can say is does anyone wanna buy a shure SM58 cause im done with it

Includes mic clip. Useful switches. Often you’ll need to engage the low end roll-off in live applications.

Feels rugged and durable to me. I haven’t dropped it yet

Again, I like it better than Neumann KMS105, and my AE5400 cost a lot less.
Desirability:
Looks fantastic
Sound:
I think this is the best stage mic you can get. Better than Shure Beta 87A, Better than AKG D3900 and Better than Sennheiser E865 and about as nice as Neumann KMS105 for a lot less. I have used them all, and I’ll stay with this one.

Made in Austria. Rugged. Seems built very well and not sensitive to humidity.
Value:
Incredible value. Eats any of the Shure handhelds for lunch.
Sound:
Great sound. Almost as good as my other high end condensers costing 5 to 10 times as much! Sounds good to great on everything I’ve tried.
Support:
AKG are easy to deal with.
Overall:
An all around great product. I’m not a big fan of AKG mics in general, but this model is an exception.
The KMS 104 has a microphone capsule with a cardioid directional characteristic which provides the best possible suppression of sounds originating from behind the microphone. In contrast, with its supercardioid characteristic the KMS 105 is particularly good at suppressing sounds originating from the entire 180-degree hemisphere behind the microphone. The user can thus select the version that is optimally suited to the specific application.

Feature:
I don’t know what anyone would expect this mic to come with… I’d have been happy with just the mic, but it did come with a Shure bumper sticker, a carrying case, the user’s guide, a cable tie, and some other stuff to… This mic is the “most useful feature” though! Completely amazing mic! I’m in love…
Quality:
Top-notch. Let me put it this way: This mic survives the famous Shure drop test and will stand up to just as much abuse as any other Shure product will – even though it’s a condenser.
Value:
I’d buy it all over again if I needed to. Well worth my money – well worth yours…
Desirability:
I bought it, didn’t I?
Sound:
Let me put it this way: I’ve been using the legendary SM58 for the past 3 years and the Beta 87A completely eliminates that “Gee! I feel like I’m singing in a box!” feeling. It sounds so natural and so complete and so clear. Amazing! Also, this mic has been yelled into, sung “sweetly” into, and screamed into. No distortion – only chrystal clear, beautiful, natural sound… This is the sound of a condenser mic in a rugged, live performance package. I love it!
Overall:
I don’t plan on having to buy any other vocal mics ever. It’s just for my voice and I expect this mic to outlast me!

Did I mention I love this Mic! – I actually somehow lost my first one at our last gig. Or it’s somewhere in someones gear but I can’t find it. Either way I just ordered another one. If my first one shows up I’ll have 2 and that’ll be just fine. I’m thinking about getting one for everyone in the band anyway.

This is the best live mic I’ve ever used! The sound is phenomenal. I use a Bose PS1 and didn’t know how great my vocals could sound until I bought the 105. I also have a Beta 87A, but it can’t touch this mic.
Ease of Use:
Little eq needed, great balance.
Support:
Haven’t dealt with the company.

I would buy another one if this one failed or was stolen.
