Quality:
FLAWLESS. I HAVE HAULED THEM ALL OVER THE LANDSCAPE AND HAVE USED THEM NOW IN THREE-FOUR DIFFERENT CABS WITH NO PROBLEMS.

Value:
NOTHING CELESTION PRODUCES WOULD BE CONSIDERED VALUE–TO GET THE BEST, YA GOTTA PAY FOR IT. AND YOU DO WITH THESE, BUT WELL WORTH IT!

Desirability:
TONE RULES, AND THESE PRODUCE THE MOST DESIRABLE TONE EVER.

Sound:
THESE SPEAKERS HAVE THE BEST OVERALL TONE OF ANY SPEAKERS I HAVE OWNED (AND I’VE OWNED MANY). THEY HAVE A BEEFY SOUND THAT CARRIES FULL RANGE WITHOUT ANY SHRILLNESS OR EAR FATIGUE. THEY OPERATE WELL AT ALL VOLUMES, CLEAN OR OVERDRIVEN. WHEN OVERDRIVEN (I USE A MESA HEAD) THEY JUST BLOW THE ROOF OFF THE DUMP. BEST SPEAKERS EVER, AND WORTH THE OUTSIZED CELESTION PRICE.

Ease of Use:
JUST SCREW THEM DOWN AND PLUG IN…AAAAHHHHH, THE POWER OF TONE!

Overall:
I BELIEVE THESE ARE THE LAST SPEAKERS I’LL EVER NEED.

i believe i paid about 150 ea bucks, around the early 80`s?? my oldest daughter was born in 1984,the speakers where already built.

Desirability:
it kicks ASS

Sound:
i have own 2-EVM-12-l`S probably since they where first introduced.I`ve built my own reflex cabinets for them, tuned them almost to perfection, but they need a little more. I`ve melted the soldered connections on the crossovers a couple of times.I was driving them with a SANSUI 9090-dB-125 WRMS AND also 2- 300 watt SouthWestTech amplifiers which i built from kits [Tigersaurus`s-- DC-400,000 Hz`s] [situations] the police have been around to tell me to turn it down,i guess they don`t like Genesis or Pink Floyd to much? I`m thinking about what used to be the EVM-15B,but now with technology the way it is i`m being more open minded about how efficient i would like to be with ground and chest pounding bass,it feels good don`t ya think.

Ease of Use:
my equalizer is my learning curve

Overall:
i`m thicking about trying to outdo the evm-12L`s.I`m going to be doing my research. i need to get better spec`s on other candidates

ElectroVoice EVM12L Zakk Wylde Black Label Guitar Speaker (300 Watts, 12 in.)Take the EVM-12L, add Zakk’s personal specs (improved power handling, improved magnet design, better venting, and th Black Label colors), and now you have the greatest guitar loudspeaker in the world. Wanna argue with Zakk on that? I didn’t think so. Remember: The only label is Black. I’ve used a lot of speaker types in my guitar amps, and the new speakers from eminence are a very well made machine. very easy to install and remember to always keep the shipping box to sell the old speaker in.

Desirability:
Granted we are only talking about a guitar amp speaker, But man what looks. The little ram rod is red and it shows up real good in the back of my amp, It’s classy and expensive looking, and it almost looks as good as it sounds.

Sound:
I was tired of the trashy little speaker in my new fender pro jr. Although it’s a very cool little amp, I wanted a stronger bass responce. I ordered the ram rod and the ragin cajun to try out in this amp……WOW……I put in the ram rod and never looked back. the cajun sits in my closet for a future tryout…. This little amp is an absolute screamer, fabulous high end fender tone. Thanks to the folks at eminence.
