Look good, like a Gibson should. But I will upgrade to another brand even if it hurts the value of my 333.

Quality:
Come on Gibson USA, I’d like to know who was in quality control the day my tuners were made!!!!!

Value:
Obviously, Gibson is banking on the value of original parts staying high, even if the quality is low.

Sound:
I am sad that Gibson would put something like these tuners on the market and not improve them. I bought a new Gibson ES 333 for $1200.00 and two of THESE tuners blew completely apart shortly after the warranty ran out. I tried to fix them in my shop, but there wasn’t enough metal in the rivits to do anything with. Come on Gibson, I HAD FAITH IN YOU!!!!!!

Ease of Use:
Seem to work well, but intonation stablization is a problem.

Support:
Gibson support seems to be on the downslide somewhat. I still love the company, but their website isn’t even very consumer friendly.

Very well made, mine is made of nice chrome. Looks beatiful on the headstock.

Value:
This is an excellent way to add “tone” to your guitar on the cheap. I get complements on my tone all the time, and this is just one of the little secrets that helps contribute to it.

Sound:
I use this on the headstock my Jimi Hendrix signature strat. This thing fattens the tone up just a bit. The difference is subtle, but it is audible and I prefer to have it on. It trades out a bit of high frequencies and sweetens up the midrange.

Overall:
This piece of gear is a great and well-kept secret. I love mine but I have never seen anybody else play with one- ever! I highly recommend one if you are a tone junky like me and you want to thicken up your tone.

Feature:
If you have your bridge blocked and set up right, it works as advertised.

Quality:
It’s very solid. The chrome on mine got scratched on the face where it rubs on the trem but you can smooth it with some fine sandpaper.

Value:
This is exactly what I would expect it to cost. Other companies make drop tuners that are similarly priced, though not for a Floyd (that I know of).

Ease of Use:
It’s very convenient on stage, but tuning is more annoying beforehand. I found that you can’t really use the fine tuner on the low E anymore, so you need to keep your allen wrenches handy and use the tuning key on the headstock. I would also adjust it every couple weeks and make sure it’s working right because the adjustment seemed to vary with the age of my strings. Finally, it did make using the trem a little bit stiffer because of the blocked bridge.

Overall:
If you need it you need it. That’s it. If you don’t need it, I wouldn’t get it ‘just for fun’.
