Eden D210XST Bass Cabinet (450 Watts, 2x10 in.)For those players who need a portable, high performance rig with even more low end than the XLT, Eden has designed a new 2 x 10 in. cabinet for their latest XST woofers. This new 2 x 10 in. cabinet handles more power than many 4 x 10 in. cabs on the market. The low end is full but tight, the mids are open and well defined and the highs are clear and crisp.

Feature:
This has been used for CD’s and keys as well as bass. Beautiful full frequency response.

Quality:
Very solid. The massive magnets require that the cabinet be handled kindly, though. One speaker frame cracked on mine. The speaker mount screws should be examined for tightness occasionally. No buzzes, rattles, or the like.

Value:
Don’t really think there’s another cabinet that can compete.

Sound:
Very true sound. Amazin that it’s so small and handles smooth low B’s.

Support:
Replacement speaker is on the way. I ordered through a local retailer. Phoning company would be recommended. Haven’t yet had an email answered from yesterday.

Overall:
Would not hesitate to buy another. Actually, I’m considering it.

Someone posted a desire for Speakon inputs??? Mine has two of them.

Quality:
IMHO… David Nordschow developed and produced some of the finest bass guitar enclosures the market has ever seen. I’m sure his amps stand right up there, too, but I’m one of those all-tube guys. Now that Eden Electronics has merged with U.S. Music, time will only tell how well quality gets maintained…

Value:
Priced comparably to its peers in the market.

Desirability:
They look great!

Sound:
I would give this a 10, but the horn will buzz on occasion. I discovered that the active electronics on my bass was the culprit. I have to cut-down on some of my EQ to eliminate the buzz. This cabinet throws itself all the way to the back of the room, and when I pair it with my Bergantino NV215, both cabinets getting pumped by my Marshall VBA400… I need a poet to artfully describe the sound.

Support:
They responded immediately when I asked them about the horn buzz.

Overall:
I’ll be using this for years to come…

Feature:
I would not change a thing.

Desirability:
Great sex appeal all that fuzzy black stuff with the shiny gold horn. You know, its actually not that heavy to move around, only 65 lbs. or so and I’ve got little pop out casters so I can load all my gear on the cab and roll it to the stage all in one trip. Nuff said.

Sound:
I picked mine up used for $350 CDN. and I play through a Beheringer 450 watt ultrabass,( $339.95 CDN )and for under $700 this rig kicks, as well as fitting in the back of my Jeep TJ. My other cab is a folded horn, 3/4 solid core mahogany ply with a JBL K-145, a JBL D-120, two bullet tweeters and a passive JBL crossover. And believe it or not, the XLT sounds better. So I’m sold, I play with two guitarists and a keyboard and I dominate.

Ease of Use:
Everything I put through it sounds great, Aphex Bass Xcter, Aphex Punch Factory, MXR auto Q, Boss bass chorus and Behringer Flanger and whatever else I want to try. I just plug everything in and I play and get compliments on my sound.

Support:
I did not have to deal with eden cause nothings gone wrong.

Overall:
The only other cab I would be interested in would be the Eden XST two ten cab with about 36 hz. response, ( I may want to go 5 string ). But for now this cab is the best for my needs.

Sound:
This is a great cabinet, particularly when used as a pair. Two of these are remakably deep and full sounding, and reproduce the instrument’s true tone. You get less of the subwoofer “boom” than with a 15, and the reduced size & 40 lb. weight can’t be beat, a true back saver. I have not compared the Aguilar 112, but as this is a brand new model certainly Eden designed this with the Aggy in mind as the box to beat. My big cabinets are now mothballed.
