Many other manufacturers have tried to recreate the Celestion Blue sound in a higherpowered driver, and some have come close. But only Celestion has the experience and know-how to emulate the tone and response of its own, Alnico classic in a modern driver that’s perfect for single or multiple applications in cabinets or combos.

Quality:
FLAWLESS. I HAVE HAULED THEM ALL OVER THE LANDSCAPE AND HAVE USED THEM NOW IN THREE-FOUR DIFFERENT CABS WITH NO PROBLEMS.
Value:
NOTHING CELESTION PRODUCES WOULD BE CONSIDERED VALUE–TO GET THE BEST, YA GOTTA PAY FOR IT. AND YOU DO WITH THESE, BUT WELL WORTH IT!
Desirability:
TONE RULES, AND THESE PRODUCE THE MOST DESIRABLE TONE EVER.
Sound:
THESE SPEAKERS HAVE THE BEST OVERALL TONE OF ANY SPEAKERS I HAVE OWNED (AND I’VE OWNED MANY). THEY HAVE A BEEFY SOUND THAT CARRIES FULL RANGE WITHOUT ANY SHRILLNESS OR EAR FATIGUE. THEY OPERATE WELL AT ALL VOLUMES, CLEAN OR OVERDRIVEN. WHEN OVERDRIVEN (I USE A MESA HEAD) THEY JUST BLOW THE ROOF OFF THE DUMP. BEST SPEAKERS EVER, AND WORTH THE OUTSIZED CELESTION PRICE.
Ease of Use:
JUST SCREW THEM DOWN AND PLUG IN…AAAAHHHHH, THE POWER OF TONE!
Overall:
I BELIEVE THESE ARE THE LAST SPEAKERS I’LL EVER NEED.

Celestion FTR Series drivers feature advanced, high-temperature voice coils and smart chassis design for maximum heat dissipation with reduced reflections back on the cone. Similarly innovative magnet topology floods the gap around the pole piece, limiting the interference from transient flux. The result is a cost-effective range of high-value 12, 15 and 18 inch cast- frame low frequency drivers that set new standards for high power handling with minimal thermal compression, and low acoustic and harmonic distortion.

It’s fantastic.

I have this speaker in my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe. I play Country Music along with my Fender Telecaster. This combination is very clean, powerful , and loaded with tone. I plan to replace the Black Widows in my Twin Reverb with Vintage 30′s very soon!
Support:
No. I haven’t dealt with them.
Overall:
Ten years or more. I thought I was happy with the Peavey Black Widows in my Twin until I bought my Hot Rod Deluxe with the Celestion Vintage 30. I only hope my Twin sounds as good with a pair of Vintage 30′s in them.
Celestion’s history goes back to the birth of the electric guitar. But today, as ever, Celestion remains at the forefront of guitar loudspeaker innovation. Right at the start of the new Century, they pioneered the use of a revolutionary Neodymium magnet structure to create the G12 Century — the loudest Celestion guitar speaker of all time!
