Feature:
i think the 5 position selector is cheesey, and I rarely use it. i do however use the CD input for laptop playback , which I use to record our practices, and thats real helpfull

Quality:
dont like the cloth grill cover, every amp in the band but mine has a metal grill.

Value:
over priced for only 100 watts, in my opinion. in hindsight, i should have saved up for a few more months and gotten a seperate amp and cabinet, I’d probably be a lot happier.

Desirability:
all black, i dissagree with the poeople that say ” you look good on stage if you use it” thats crap !. but for a monitor it’s good. i use mine as a seat often, love feeling the Bass in the Butt

Sound:
sound is fine enough, i came from a Crate 100 watt combo ( got old ) to this, I practice in a relatively small basement so depending on where I stand, the sound drops out, but thats just the room accoustics so I cant blame the amp. Havent played out with it yet, it’ll be interesting to see how it does then.

Ease of Use:
not a lot of crap to get in the way, other than the selector switch.

Support:
haven’t had need of support…. yet

Overall:
as soon as we start playing out, i’ll probably start looking for more power, as I’m sure the guitars will blow me away. i do rattle stuff upstairs all the time, but the drummers wife is pretty understanding, knowing its just the frequency, and not the power / loudness, so thats cool.

problems

Quality:
SUCKS. I bought 2 and sent them both back. the bass cord pops out when the eq setting has too much bass. Crappy sound at full range. speakers system clipped, (no sound) on both units (I had to power down, the power up to get sound again)

Value:
I will never waste my time on an ampeg again, and I like the USA models.

Sound:
great

Ease of Use:
very easy

Support:
nothing, so I thought screw you ampeg, I’ll get my money back.

Feature:
It’s really no frills and that’s a good thing. Frequency boosts work well, includes XLR out +headphone jack. AND will get the job done with portability.

Quality:
Just got it yesterday. I read about the QC issues from the Ampeg China factory but heard one and decided to take the chance. One side of the chassis was cut to long so it sits 1/4″ below top of cabinet. To make it fit the top corner of metal is pushed in and there is a 1/2″ clean cut where the bottom of the chassis folds. You would think to not to scrap it they would use another frame instead of gerry-rigging and forcing it in. Even Epiphone will stamp used on a product that is factory flawed.

Sound:
The preamp tube adds warmth and tone controls are responsive to accomplish a variety of sounds. Using a Fender American Jazz bass I’m very pleased.

Support:
I hear it’s good because Ampeg is aware of QC issues and replaces them.

Overall:
Great sound, inexcusable QC.

Feature:
It could use a few more controls, but it gets the job done.

Quality:
It is a very well made amp. I never have any worries about it breaking, or encountering a problem with it. It also had no cosmetic flaws when I purchased it. Overall, I believe that it will last a good long time.

Value:
As I said before, it has stunning sound, especially for the price, which at the time that I bought it was around $70.

Desirability:
It’s fairly plain looking, but I like the retro feel.

Sound:
This amp has excellent sound. When I purchased it, I was absolutely amazed that it had such great sound, especially for the price. It also gives little to no hum.

Ease of Use:
If you know how to plug in your instrument and flip a switch, you know how to use this amp.

Support:
N/A. I haven’t had a problem with it, so I haven’t needed to contact Behringer.

Overall:
I’m sure I won’t be replacing this for a good long time, although I’ll definately get another amp for things such as playing live. This is a great amp for practicing, rehersals, and even possibly small gigs.
