User Reviews:
Feature:
Not a lot of features involved here. On-off switch, volume, EQ. The first two are indispensable. The third (EQ) is a bonus.

Quality:
Rugged construction, good for hauling around and gigging. I’ve found the sound quality to be quite good. No problems at all like the other reviews have mentioned.

Value:
You could probably come up with a cheaper solution but this puts good sound and good features in a solid, rugged package. It works for me.

Desirability:
I’m buying another one…

Sound:
Used exclusively as a powered speaker system for a keyboard. A bit boomy in the bass, but the onboard EQ fixes most of that. Clear, solid sound that fills the room (church).

Ease of Use:
Plug it in, turn it on, tweak the EQ. Couldn’t be easier.

Support:
Never had any need for support.

Feature:
The size was what attracted me to this monitor in the first place…small.

Value:
It’s not worth the price. Even though it cost me $50 to ship it back, I know I would not use it if I kept it.

Sound:
The line input (using a CD player as a source) sounded really bad. The highs were distorted and the overall sound was nowhere near flat. When using the Amp In input (bypasses tone controls) the sound improved but was still unsatisfactory (very edgy). I think the problems were related to cheap tone control circuits and a really bad choice of high-frequency driver for this product.

Overall:
The Yamaha MSR-100 totally blows away the Fender 1270P. Yes, the Yamaha costs about $100.00 more but it is an order of magnitude better than the Fender. I really expected much more quality from a Fender product.

Value:
They are a bit pricey, but I think in the long run the price will be well worth it.

Desirability:
they look great as a monitor or even better if used as a small main. The lighted logo on the front is really cool!

Sound:
Just picked up 6 of these bad boys! Wont have anybody tell me they cant hear the monitors anymore!! Crisp highs, great lows, hard to believe the low end when EQ’d.

Ease of Use:
easy unit to set up and use.
