Tested these out at GC against Mackie SRM450’s and JBL 15g2’s. I cannot attest to the longevity but for about $100 more a piece, these are worth it. Much better overall sound. They come with a 6yr warranty also!!!

This 2-way 15 in. PA cabinet is internally biamp powered. The biamp design provides dedicated power amps for the low frequency 15 in. driver and the 15 in. compression driver. The lows are driven by 125 watts and the highs by 50 watts. By separating the power amps the cabinet is more efficient and sound quality is more precise. very solid equipment – no distortion…this speaker is Painfully **loud**. I have read reviews stating these are adequate for small venues…I think these would be adequate for large venues and outstanding for small venues.

Given that the going price for these are $400 – the value is wonderful – no EQ or mixer or multiple channels…but loud powerful sound for the money

I bought these(2) to be live Keyboard powered amps. For individual sounds the speakers are great. For orchestral mixes, the bass is a little muddy and the mids are flat. The highs are ok but the 16khz top end really cuts a lot of the dynamic content of orchestral mixes

After hearing people say this was not loud enough, I decided to test it myself. Due to the building opening restrictions, we only got 15 minutes to set up a brand new EON 515 before a live show for a 800 seat church auditorium. The speakers were just EON 515. BINGO!!! We were holding our breath. Not anymore. The system sounded EXCELLENT. JBL EON 515 (a pair) was the only system. The mixer was Mackie. NO HUMMING NOISE AT ALL. We only had the system go up to half its capability” and that was enough. We are sold.
If a simple set-up is required and full bandwidth output at high levels is a must, then the PRX525 is most likely the optimum solution. With the same foot print as the PRX515 the addition of another 15 in. woofer only increases the weight by 24 lbs., yet the increase in performance negates the requirement for an extra subwoofer in live music and many music playback applications. For live music, recorded music playback and speech the user has the option of tailoring the EQ, ‘flat’ for speech intelligibility and ‘boost’ for enhanced bass and crisp highs in recorded music playback. A microphone can be directly connected to the speaker input for quick on-the-fly PA applications.
