features is the best part of it. So many that you may get lost the firts times you use it. But the lack of a small, simple, button style pedal to stop working while you are playing, is a serious handicap. If you are playing and want to stop effects but continue playing, you have to stop all and use your hand to bypass it.

Quality:
Hiss can bother you after half an hour of playing. Rest is OK, but this is A SERIOUS HANDICAP.

Value:
Too expensive for a TOY. And this is what it is. A lot of money for having fun at home.

Hiss is the greatest problem with this unit. You can

Seems fine. Have not had it on the road yet. It’s small, so it should fit in one of my cases ok.

Value:
Good God people. If you are playing acoustic, this box is amazing for the dough…even if you only use it as a DI!

Sound:
I’m using this thing with a Blue Lion pickup and Baggs Para Acustic DI preamp, playing a custom made Cedar four string lap dulcimer. This setup is giving me sound opportunities I have been dreaming of for many years. I love the box but have a wish list, (I am basically a solo live artist): The ability to edit patches via USB, setting up a series of coordinated effects I can move through coordinated with live playing. The ability to edit drum sounds and to create pre programmed playback/backing tracks. Overall, I am totally happy! Now, if the pedal could only do something about the sorry state of the US Government…..

Support:
So far, so good.

Feature:
The phase switch is very handy to cut feedback.

Quality:
The Aura is built like a brushed-metal tank! Very durable and tough! It will still be working when I am dead and gone, and the next musician should take it on the road.

Value:
Worth it!

Desirability:
Looks great, sounds amazing.

Sound:
The sound of the Fishman Aura Jumbo Acoustic pedal is amazing, as advertised! I have a Gretsch Sierra jumbo guitar, and could barely wait to get the pedal in the mail. I don’t have an acoustic guitar amp, so I tried the pedal and guitar thru a Behringer bass amp and a Boss BR1600 digital recorder. I recorded 2 songs on with the Aura for MORAIMA and Bass Culture. I can hear the sound of nice mics with some sort of jumbo guitars, I suppose, and it sounds like different rooms, unless I am mistaken. Am I hearing different Gibson or Martin guitars? I am uncertain, I read something about imaging of different guitar woods and expensive mics. All I can do is try the 16 different sounds for whatever song I am recording. I can still hear the sound of my Gretsch, tho, which is great.

Ease of Use:
No manual at all, but I can’t get a bad sound out of this product!

Support:
I have a Fishman piezo pickup in my Telecaster.

Overall:
I play R & B, reggae, world acoustic, folk, country, blues, and more. I will use it constantly.

Feature:
Have been using for about a week and it’s much more than just plug and play. Seems to be fairly intuitive once you get used to it – you may want to keep the manual around to see what all those parameters actually are (or memorize about 300 of them).

Quality:
Seems to be well made, I haven’t dropped it down the steps yet.

Value:
Seems to be a lot of bang for the buck. Chorus, echo, flanger, phase shifter, etc all under on roof. Add ‘em up people.

Desirability:
Uh, it’s a foot pedal. It is a REALLY nice color green though.

Sound:
Guitar modeling is good, subtle (read as “not cheesy”. Fool with the buttons and you can get just about anything you want – multi-function buttons allow you to set the parameters for everything with 3 knobs.

Ease of Use:
Not for the faint of heart. Display is a 2 digit code so you really have to know where things are stored. Keep a list handy. This is the only real drawback but i’m getting used to it.

Support:
Haven’t needed it.

Overall:
I’m so glad I bought this. I sound better already and that’s what it’s all about. I’m sure there are better effects out there but for the price I don’t see how you can beat this one.
