Ovation CC48 Celebrity Super-Shallow Bowl Cutaway Acoustic-Electric GuitarOvation has applied 40 years of guitar making to design an affordable guitar that doesn’t sound like an affordable guitar. The Celebrity Deluxe is proof of that. This guitar boasts bigger sound than guitars that cost twice as much. In a large part that’s due to the Lyrachord body — the same USA body found on it’s upscale Ovation brothers. Ovation’s award winning multi-sound hole technology is also incorporated in the Celebrity Deluxe Series to push out powerful acoustic tone and exceptional balance.

Desirability:
stupid question, its a guitar not a blow up doll

Sound:
sweet

Ease of Use:
the old roll of your lap thing with any Ovation bowl

Overall:
For $400 its reall a no brainer, looks, sound feel, features, all things you would expect from a $1000.00 axe, it should come with a case, raise the price $75 and toss in a medium case, good insurance

Feature:
On board tuner and DI are a great plus. Action is not good after a little set-up. Materials are of good quality. The neck was a bit out of whack when it came off the dealers wall. Needed some basic work.

Quality:
Quality seems good — ask me in a year how it is holding up. Finish looks great and the fittings and machines seem to be equivilant to any other guitar in this price range.

Value:
Features, finish and sound are outstanding for it’s price.

Sound:
Great sounding for a thin-line guitar. Unplugged — not a bad tone. Plugged iin it is awesome.

Ease of Use:
Good sounds and easy to adjust. Very playable — again after some basic set-up.

Feature:
For what it has Ibanez did a good job of putting it all together. The new ash top and sides sounds much better than the TCY10 out of Spruce and Mahogany.

Quality:
Perfect conditon when recieved and have high hopes of keeping it this way. 1 Day shipping through UPS, boxed well. The finish makes this guitar that much more likable: more guitars should have a violin finish. The ash also took to the stain well not just the high gloss makes it look good but the wood used is beautiful.

Value:
For thinbody, double cutaway, electric-acoustics it’s a great buy.

Desirability:
The aesthetics are amazing from the eliptical sound hole with the inlays, and finally the gorgeous violin finish and the grain pattern from the ash wood this gutar attracts people to whomever is playing it.

Sound:
Thin bodied guitars are still in their own category for sound they can’t compete with full bodied guitars yet, and it’s not really that bad as an acoustic but when plugged in over a system I’ve gotten great results.

Support:
No problems, their customer service line is helpful.

Overall:
The only other reason to buy another guitar would supplement this Ibanez, you’re going to like playing this Talman and keep it around for a long time. I looked into Morgan Monroe and Talkamanie for their double cut electric-acoustics, and came up with this one instead. It was among the first I looked at and then after continual serching became the favorite.

Feature:
Again, very nicely equipped for $400.

Quality:
Only a 9 because I would hope the more expensive would be a little better… Taylors sure are nice, but do they sound THAT much better? Not so sure.

Value:
OK, a 10. Honestly… for this price, it’s a steal.

Desirability:
Very nice curvy little creature. It only gets a 9 because I wanted the sunburst, but they were out of stock so I got the Ebony Princess.

Sound:
Great sound for a $400 guitar. I really expected less and was hopeful for pretty decent for a knockaround acoustic. This thing really sounds pretty damn decent. Blows me away everytime I pick her up and plug her in or by itself. Gorgeous booming lows and crisp highs. The electronics are very nice. good stuff. I’m still shaking my head that it only costs $400… wow. They don’t make cheap guitars like they used to! The only reason I don’t give it 10 is that surely the $2K acoustics have to sound better… don’t they?

Ease of Use:
If you can play guitar, you’ll love it.

Support:
Nada use for it. Warranty registration was pretty easy online.

Overall:
Just got it so the longevity is yet to be determined. If you mean, “Will I look for something better?” Nah, if it holds up to my banging around, I may get another one when the sunburst comes in stock. :) Really, it’s that good. I was very surprised and grateful.

i gave this a nine because it only has two tone knobs and a volume job i think. but i personally like the simplicity of it the sound shouldn’t be altered to much

Quality:
just buy it if ur lookin for a good acoustic

Value:
i bought it localy so it was a lil pricy but definitely worth it

Sound:
ive played this right up against high end martins and well taylor may not have all the hype that martin gets but the sound of taylors just blows them away.

Support:

Overall:
