I’ve heard some horror stories about manufacturing issues….but mine came with no problems whatsoever. I like the look and style of the drums. Lugs and hardware are a nice black nickle finish.

I think for the money paid…you get a good quality kit, with great features and great sound. Sure, there are fancier kits for more money. But if you want a good kit to play with (intermediate to Pro features) and don’t want to shell out all the extra cash for a (practice, moderate gigging kit) this is a great deal!

I notice a warmer sound from the DDRUM than my Yamaha Beech Customs. I think the toms have a nice feel and the overall sound is a bit more to my liking. The drum sizes help with minimal “overring.”

Easy to assemble, fairly easy to tune. I would ditch the stock heads right away and get some quality REMOS or EVANS heads.

The sound if this set would have to be defined as “Less than Satisfactory” not by any means terrible. It just does not satisfy the drummer, my main issue is it isn’t loud enough, and you have to really know your tuning to a get a good sound of them. As with any other drum set. I would use coated emperors to get the best sound out of these.

It is playable, once tuned right, but for the price, you can get a much better set.

This set, with new hardware is good for beginners. But for intermediate – expert, terrible.

this is the second set of exports i have owned. with the right combo of heads they sound pretty damn good. most clubs i play i don’t need to mic my toms because they project so well. i recommend taking a tom in(i used the 13) to your local drum shop and find the right combo. it took me twenty minutes. the only other thing i recommend is to use a 2 ply bottom on the floor tom. no more ring
