This bass is of a “proffessional” quality and compares to and is better then some MIA jazz basses at half the price!! ( not just saying…I’ve owned them )would recomend to any jazz bass players looking for a 24 fret bass (34″scale)
Desirability:
Very nice playing neck, it plays it self!!!! low action and lots of punch ( depends on the way you set it up), bright clear and responsive duncan’s with EQ control sounds excellent through any amp….literally…all make this bass one of my favorites for slapin’ fusion/funk……it doesn’t literally play itself….
Support:
I didn’t have any problems except settin it up when I got it………usually happens when you live in canada due to the change in temperature…may I add that it plays like a dream?? Let’s give support a 10 cause I’ve owned Fender products for years and never needed to deal with them…a true sign of quality!!
Overall:
I expect this bass to last me a long time….the only problem, you need to buy a case for it….Don’t think about buying one of those cheap cases either. Treat this bass with respect. If you think and MIA bass comes with the case at 1300$ …you’re wrong…it’s a selling technique…you’re actually paying nearly 200$ for that case…hense the 999$ retail price on the MIK Jazz 24 QMT. If it came with the nice Fender case, it would retail at 1300$ as well.
Millennium basses are an outstanding value with that incredible quilt top, hard rock maple neck with a rosewood fretboard, and J-style hum canceling pickups.

didn’t get any accessories with this bass, had to buy a hard shell case for it, dealer knocked off some of the price on that for me
Quality:
the knobs could have been tighter, quality assurance should have caught this before it left the factory, i played it in the music store and it was ok, but got it home and they knobs became loose as soon as i started looking for the sounds i wanted, had to carry it back and get the knobs tightened up
Value:
after all the knobs were tightened i got it home and turned it up, this is a great bass for the price, i’ve been an acoustic guitar player most of my life, but i’ve messed with basses off and on, this one gives me the most bang for my buck, i’m stoked with it
Desirability:
love the tigers eye color, very light bass, i’ll be using it for more than just practice, this will be doing some gigs with me
Sound:
this thing sounds really great coming out of my Yorkville 100 watt 1 x 15, can get some really great tones, just wish there was 1 more pick up on it
Ease of Use:
good range of sound and tones, very playable bass, love the neck
Support:
dealer was really ok with me bringing it back to tighten up the knobs, service and support on his end were great
Overall:
peavey for me, the fenders i played that were in the same price range didn’t sound as good, so i’m happy
Bound fingerboards, three-knob controls (volume neck, volume bridge, master tone) and block inlays are standout features of this classic.

The Thunderbird IV debuted in 1963 with the original Firebird guitar series. The most highly respected of all Gibson basses, the Thunderbird was reissued in 1987 with original reverse body styling and new, special-design pickups.

The case that comes witht he Thunderbird is extremely nice.
Quality:
It’s a $1700.00 dollar Gibson? Of course the quality it top notch.
Value:
You get what you pay for – this bass is high end but it is worth every penny and I wouldn’t take twice the price to sell.
Desirability:
The Thunderbird, to me, is the best looking bass guitar out there.
Sound:
I don’t know what game the previous “rate(r’s)” were watching but the Gibson=Thunderbird IV is a classic bass guitar. The tone is unmatchable in any other bass – the action is sooo sweet – the playability is tremendous and the overall style is unprecedented. This bass is one of if not the best bass guitars I have ever owned or played – I have played the Pedulla’s and Lakeland’s as well as many other heavy priced bass’ – the only bass that comes close to the Thunderbird is my Fender Jazz American Standard – this is also a classic.
Ease of Use:
From novice to expert the Thunderbird will improve and assist is smooth groovy playin’.
Support:
Unsure – have not used.
Overall:
I own several bass guitars and the only one I play regularly is the Gibson.
Bassists too can now be blinded by the chrome and have more switches and dials than Mission Control at their disposal. The alder body comes in cool Black or Hot Rod Red finishes, with a thin, fast 1-piece C-shaped Maple neck (matching headstock on Hot Rod Red model). The Rosewood fingerboard has aged block position markets, and the roar pours forth from 2 Jazz Bass pickups with an active/passive pickup system and series/parallel switching.

Sound:
I have been using a red Jag Bass for about a year, and the tonal variation is superior to anything else I have tried. It thumps way more than other fender basses that I own, which are all MIJ 60’s reissues. I had the bass setup professionally when I got it, and added a chrome bridge cover (more chrome??). The only issue I experienced was the individual string volumes were not equal, the E string was so much more prominent than the other strings. Use .045-.100 strings and lowered the factory-set string heights and it plays like a dream. Highly Recommend this bass.

Feature:
Lacks good tone controls or any kind of active preamp system. Disapointing to say the least.
Quality:
The so called fine finish on the edges is not as good as you would expect for the price. The finger board had poor edges at the rolled bettween the frets. The fretwork is less then great. The new bridge looks like the finish will peel right off.
Value:
There are not so many well built basses in this price range that the P-bass is not a good value. Consider Yamaha or Carvin at this price they are better made and sound much better than the fender.
Desirability:
No. It’s Fat and uncomfortable to play. bulky and not sexy at all. The design is now years out of date, it’s not a classic it’s just old.
Sound:
Not as articulate in the high end as many other basses in this price range. Kind of slow to respond to finger sounds.
Ease of Use:
Ok a morron could play it because it has almost no controls to speak of just turn up the volume and play.
Support:
Even try to get a real fender part? It takes forever or 6 months whichever is longer.
Overall:
Sad what has happened to Fender these days, Leo is rolling over in his grave. He was a Great innovator for his era and even right before his death he was working on newer more modern designs. The quality is lacking in the build of this old standard.
The D4 features neck-thru-body construction, a merbau body, and a 5-piece neck.

3 Band Atcive Eq great looking gun metal colored bridge and hardware
Quality:
Construction quality is better than youd expect from this Made in Vietname product.
Value:
for the price, neck through active eq what do you want ????
Desirability:
I picked it form a line of Shecters & Warwick at LAMusics Missisauga Store so u can imagine the look
Sound:
Great Tone, Warick Like Growl, 3 band Eq gives u million options in tone. THe only problem is the stock strings that come with it sound a litlle clanky, but you can change to Flatwounds to reduce that
Ease of Use:
Not the fastest neck like an ibanez but Neck through body makes its worth the money. the bass feels great to play and looks awesome
Support:
i dealt with LaMusic in Toronto and they Rock, they guys helped me zero in on this bass, i was very picky about the tone , i bought a peavy grind 4 and returned it , just too warm

Its Squire, So its basically a Fender. So you have the name to back this bass up. And to tell you the truth, I have never had to call Fender’s Support Line. Its just too good of a bass to mess up.
Overall:
Amazing Bass!
